Snowy Sunday {Recipe}

Happy Snowy Sunday from Northern Indiana!

It started snowing this morning around 4 am & still hasn't stopped. With the snow we got over the last week and today, we're pushing the 11 inch mark with 16+ likely! That's a lot of snow for this southern gal! But like any good twenty something married couple, we took full advantage of the snowy day off!

We made a snow man...classy of course!

Enjoyed the now "Blizzard" conditions....Yes, we are officially in a state of emergency for a blizzard. There's a first for everything!

Snow Dog!

The main road in front of our house...

And made SNOW CREAM!
If y'all have never made this snowy delicacy, you are missing out! It's super easy & so delicious!
There are several different recipes ranging from one or two ingredients up to eight or more. I love the rich, creamy snow cream so here's my famous concoction!

What you'll need:
Evaporated Milk
Sweetened Condensed Milk
Vanilla (a capful)
Sugar (a couple tablespoons to taste)
Fresh, Clean, Fluffy SNOW.

Mix all your ingredients. I mixed the four ingredients above & then added the snow.

Keep stirring until you've reached the consistency you like! I little it thicker, kinda like custard, but if you want it to be thinner just add a dash of milk!

This is still a little clumpy...just keep stirring!

Here's to hoping your Sunday was as heartwarming as ours!

Frankly my dear...stay warm y'all!!

  4. We had 3 big snow storm in 11 days. Too bad I hadn't seen this post before then. I'm sure we'll likely get at least one more good snowfall so I can try this out with the girls.
