Five on Friday {it's Birthday Weekend}

Happy Friday, Y'all!

Another week down and it's already March....this year is flying by!
I am extra excited for this weekend because my parents are coming to celebrate my birthday! I am so blessed to have parents who always go out of their way (literally 8 hours this time) to make my birthday a special day. Although my birthday isn't technically until Tuesday...being an adult means celebrations are always on the weekend!!

Today I am joining in with the girls for Five on Friday!

Tuesday Tea...because it's too early for cocktails!

This past Tuesday was our first Tuesday Tea Link-Up! It was a huge success & KhalaSamReneé, & I are so excited for more of you to join us! You can read all the major details here or check out this week's post here. Every Tuesday we will be getting together so grab the button below, a hot cup of tea, and join us!

Etsy Shop

Spring is coming & I can't wait! I've got a couple of exciting things coming up for my Etsy shop in the next few weeks & I wanted to share a sneak peek at what's coming NEXT week!
Check out the shop for more Spring items coming soon!

Val Marie Paper Prayer Journal

I first read about these on Lara Casey's Goal Setting Series and I fell in love! My favorite part of these journals is that it has topics to keep you focused and places for answered prayers + scripture memory. I can't wait to start this month & see how my heart grows for different areas.
Check out Val Marie Paper for more info on these prayer journals & other great products!

Antique Furniture

I already told y'all about my Coffee Bar plans at Tuesday Tea...but I just can't help share how much I love this beautiful antique!! I found it at the sweetest flea market I've ever been too & I can't wait to go back. The best part was my FRIST antique piece..YAY!

...another peek at the coffee bar...

Casting Crowns Worship Concert

Last Friday I attended a Casting Crowns concert with some ladies from church & it was so much fun. We had a great dinner at hibachi (my favorite) before the worship concert and it was just an all around great evening. There was a great song about love & marriage that I'll be sharing for this Wednesday's in the Word so I hope you come back to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Leave me a comment so I can visit you too!
Do any of you have exciting plans this weekend?!

Frankly my's birthday weekend!

Is it Spring, Already?!

Happy Throwback Thursday, Friends!

Am I the only one totally anxious for Spring or what?! I've been traveling a lot lately for work and I really want to do is go to....the BEACH!

It's hard to believe that it's been almost two years since Luke & I were in paradise for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Riu Resort in Negril, Jamaica and it was better than I could imagine!

So in honor of being skinny, tan, & WARM...take me back!

Exploring Jamaica & Dinner at Rick's Cafe

Wednesday in the Word {She Reads Truth}

Good Morning, Loves! And Happy Wednesday!

On today's Wednesday in Word I am sharing with you a study I started Monday.

I've talked about #SheReadsTruth briefly on the blog before but today I thought I would share about it in a little more depth. #SheReadsTruth is website powered by Godly woman who are seeking to help others in their walk with Christ through daily devotions. {read more here} They host a variety of study plans ranging from book or word studies to specific topics like Advent, Women of the Bible, & Prayer. All the materials are online via their website - complete with links to scripture & beautiful photos. One of my favorite parts of #SheReadsTruth is that it is written by women for women. They get IT - they get God AND they get my heart!

The new study that started Monday is entitled "This is the Bible."

Here is a snippet directly from Monday's #SheReadsTruth Post:
"Over the next 9 days we will study the characteristics of God’s Word, the Bible, the Holy Scriptures. We will see what God has to say about this text that we gather around each day, that shapes our faith and refines our hearts.
What we want to explore this week is: What is true of God’s word? And, what does that mean for us? How do these foundational truths about Scripture change the way we engage with it and with God? Can we trust the Bible? Do we trust it?"
Please visit the original posting of this content here.

I LOVE this and I can't wait to dig into the study this week. But I wanted to share with you today a few words of WHY God's word is important to our daily walk. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says:
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
The Bible is God's letter to us - a guidebook for life if you will. It is living & active (Hebrews 4:12) and the bread of life (Matthew 4:4). We cannot survive a sustainable, Christian life without it. Not to mention God specifically explains that it will "equip us for every good word." Who doesn't want that?!
Friends, my point is that despite our excuses (I have plenty - trust me!), God seeks a relationship with us and the ONLY way to engage in that is to read what he has to say to us! I find myself talking...ALL the time...about what's good, bad, what I want, don't want...blah blah blah. What does God want from ME? What does he LIKE? What pleases him? What is HIS will for my life? I won't EVER know if I don't allow him to speak to me --through HIS WORD. I have so much room to grow in this area so please don't think I am a master at this. I am not. Even seasoned Christians are not. But that's why I wanted to share an applicable, real study that you can - that WE can - join in to see what God has to say to us.

My application is obvious this week...#SheReadsTruth.
Will you join me? I would LOVE it if you would! And I would love to know if decide too!

Have a blessed Wednesday & great rest of the week sweet friends! I LOVE this time together & I hope you were encouraged today.

Frankly my dear... read truth today!

Tuesday Tea {Welcome}

Welcome to Tuesday Tea, Friends!

I am so thrilled you have decided to join Khala, Samantha, Reneé, & I for this weekly link-up date! My hope for this little party is for it to be a sweet part of our week where we learn about each other & share fun things in our lives.

Today I am pumped to share my Coffee Bar plans & inspiration with you! I know, I know, this is Tuesday TEA, not coffee, but it's a Tea Bar too! They're like family...can't have one without the other!

A couple of weekends ago when I was at home with my mom, we went shopping (of course!). We stumbled across this quaint little antique/flea market store outside of town & wasted the day away - not even kidding.

Of course I didn't leave empty handed...

This old antique desk caught my eye & HAD to have it. I have had visions of coffee bars floating around in my head for a while now. When I saw this gem...I knew it had to be mine. A few short measurements and exchange of offers was MINE!

This past weekend I finally got her in place & my creative brain has been in overdrive thanks to Pinterest.

My original inspiration...
and it continues with these ideas....

Last but not but least, I am working on this beautiful quote for some word art....

What do you think?!
Any suggestions on Coffee Bar Essentials?

Thanks for stopping by, loves! See you next week!

Frankly my dear...Coffee {and Tea} First!

February Goals Update

Monday again friends..where does the weekend go?!
Not to mention, it's the last Monday in February. Guess time flies when you're having fun!

I am so excited about this week on the blog - our first Tuesday Tea, a great Wednesday in the Word link-up, & even a make sure to stay tuned!

Today I am bringing you a little update on my February Goals. Part of my 101 in 1001 is to share my monthly goals. It may seem strange to share them here...for the whole world to see...but honestly, it keeps me accountable!

Drink more water...working on it but still not where I want to be.

Begin Wednesday's in the Word series...more on that tomorrow! ...So far so good! You can check them out here!

Make an intentional effort to connect with friends from home. ...This has been my favorite goal so far! While traveling a couple of weeks ago I was able to see all my old high school friends, all but one of my college roommates, AND connect with some sorority sisters I hadn't seen in a while! You can check out all my visits on my Instagram!

Just a few of my favorite people!

Work on planning my class reunion. ...Still in the process?! I reached out to some classmates so we'll call it progress.

Create my blog editorial calendar ...Almost there!! I've been scheduling posts & making great progress with my calendar. I'll keep working on this one as well.

Celebrate Valentine's by sharing LOVE to someone I may not know ...Spending Valentine's with coworkers wasn't exactly the most romantic but it was great for loving others that I don't get to see all the time. I believe we can all work on loving others a little more but for now we'll call it a success.

Order Blog Business Cards with my new design ...Business Cards are ready & uploaded...but there's a sale coming so of course I HAD to wait!

Complete our "Big Budget" ...CHECK! Now to stick with it!

Only thee out of eight remaining isn't bad for my first month of real, defined goals. I find it so much more motivating & attainable when I set smaller, more manageable goals each month. We always expect so much of ourselves but if we're honest, it's much easier to take baby steps than run a mile...especially when you're not in shape (ahem....ME)!

I enjoy sharing these goals with you & hope you like reading them. I would love to hear your goals too! It's hard to believe that I'll be posting my March goals next week but it's almost here!

Frankly my dear...have a great week, y'all!

Five on Friday {Life Lately}

Happy Friday, Lovelies!

I hope your week was great! I’ve spent the last several days recovering from traveling & soaking up time with my puppy child since our separation of said traveling. It’s been so refreshing to be at home and to have almost no plans this weekend! Tonight I’m off to a concert with the Church ladies -- YAY!

As the usual, today I am linking up with the Five on Friday ladies & all the cool kids.

National Farm Machinery Show

As much of a girly girl as I am, I DO work in agriculture! I know…I know…most people who know me find it hard to believe too. But I LOVE it! I didn’t grow up on a farm but got involved with the agriculture industry when I joined FFA in high school (Fitting since it IS FFA Week!). But enough about that…my job allows me to get to work with pretty cool people & travel to places like the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY. It’s the largest show of its kind & people come from all over the world to visit. I won’t bore you with all the details of tractors & combines but it was super fun & I got to catch up with lots of old friends.

Wine + Market

While in the great state of Kentucky I was able to spend Valentine’s Day with one of my college roomies! She treated me to an evening in Lexington but my favorite place she took us was “Wine + Market”. It was a quaint little wine & cheese market just off down town. They host a wine tasting every Friday evening & since it was Friday AND Valentine’s Day they were offering a special Sparkling Tasting. It was incredible. They not only gave us phenomenal wine, but they gave us all the history behind different types of Sparkling Wine. SO COOL! They also had a counter of fresh cheeses, an area for fresh, local produce, & a selection of craft beers. The atmosphere was perfect. I can’t wait to go back & if you’re in Lex, it’s a MUST see.

College Game Day

Being from Kentucky, I definitely bleed blue! Despite the fact I didn’t go to UK, the Cats have always been the top team in our house (until I got married of course…now L thinks it’s up for debate. HA!). My super friend had ESPN College Game Day tickets… on the FRONT ROW. No big deal. We were on TV..kinda a lot. IT was awesome! It was so much fun & makes me miss the college scene EVEN more!

This was a picture a friend sent us of their TV! Check out those two gingers in the top right corner!

Trader Joe’s.

I am slightly obsessed! I have been a couple times but I cannot get enough. Between their gorgeous fresh flowers, unique (& delish) food options, & phenomenal wine selection I want to go EVERY day! But there’s SO much in there! What are your favorite TJ’s products?

My first trip of many...obsessed with this store!

Tuesday Tea

Last but most definitely NOT least is TUESAY TEA! I am so pumped to be linking up with three of my favorite bloggy friends for a link-up each week. It’s been in the works for a while & it’s FINALLY here. We begin THIS Tuesday, February 25th and you can find all the details here. Khala, Sam, Reneé, & I hope to see you then!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Leave me a comment so I can visit you too!
Do any of you have exciting plans this weekend?!

Frankly my dear...have a great weekend!
