It’s that time of the year….Halloween! Typically I am not a jack-o-lantern, witch brewing, ghost howling fanatic. I find that the beauty of fall is in the colors, scents, & harvest – of course!!
HOWEVER, this evening I was tempted to stop into a local bakery I have heard so much about – Heyerly’s!

Since it was 6:00pm, the donuts didn’t really catch my eye, the Halloween inspired sugar cookies though…they were a MUST.

If there’s one thing I know, local is always better. ALWAYS. We may not be in the south, but local bakeries up here – Heyerly’s in particular – definitely can compete with sugar cookies!
Oh and….The Husband agrees!
