Happy 2014 Y’all!

The glitter is gone & the shiny is all put away, but that doesn’t mean I am not totally PUMPED about the NEW that 2014 will bring! I’ve recapped 2013 already here….herehere…AND here…but I can’t help but say that it was a year with more learning opportunities than I have ever had before. I have so much anticipation that this year will be no different but I have high expectations that the Lord will truly direct our paths.

I plan to go much more in depth this week about how the Franks celebrated New Year’s & some very intentional goals, but for now I will share with you MY word for 2014.

Let me explain a little bit. My prayer for 2014 is that I would be a Joy to the Lord & to others. Hebrews 12:2 says “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” It was because if JOY that Jesus endured the cross. It is focusing on JOY that will cause me to be a joy. Like I mentioned just a moment ago, my prayer is to be a joy to the Lord & others. I believe that if I focus on being a joy, the Lord will completely fill my cup & it will overflow into every aspect of my life. There are so many other wonderful verses on joy that I plan to live out this year as well but for tonight this is what I will leave you with.

What is your word for 2014?

I would love to share with you! Comment, email, facebook, or instgram me!! Part of the whole blogging thing is sharing along the way so lets share!

One last thing, I’ve been participating with Lara Casey in Goal Setting for 2014 & this was in yesterday’s post. If you’re looking for something to rock your 2014 you should definitely check out this series. Here is today’s. Enjoy.

Frankly my dear….Let’s be a joy in 2014!!
