Wednesday in the Word {She Reads Truth}

Good Morning, Loves! And Happy Wednesday!

On today’s Wednesday in Word I am sharing with you a study I started Monday.

I’ve talked about #SheReadsTruth briefly on the blog before but today I thought I would share about it in a little more depth. #SheReadsTruth is website powered by Godly woman who are seeking to help others in their walk with Christ through daily devotions. {read more here} They host a variety of study plans ranging from book or word studies to specific topics like Advent, Women of the Bible, & Prayer. All the materials are online via their website – complete with links to scripture & beautiful photos. One of my favorite parts of #SheReadsTruth is that it is written by women for women. They get IT – they get God AND they get my heart!

The new study that started Monday is entitled “This is the Bible.”

Here is a snippet directly from Monday’s #SheReadsTruth Post:

Over the next 9 days we will study the characteristics of God’s Word, the Bible, the Holy Scriptures. We will see what God has to say about this text that we gather around each day, that shapes our faith and refines our hearts.

What we want to explore this week is: What is true of God’s word? And, what does that mean for us? How do these foundational truths about Scripture change the way we engage with it and with God? Can we trust the Bible? Do we trust it?

Please visit the original posting of this content here.

 I LOVE this and I can’t wait to dig into the study this week. But I wanted to share with you today a few words of WHY God’s word is important to our daily walk. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The Bible is God’s letter to us – a guidebook for life if you will. It is living & active (Hebrews 4:12) and the bread of life (Matthew 4:4). We cannot survive a sustainable, Christian life without it. Not to mention God specifically explains that it will “equip us for every good word.” Who doesn’t want that?!

Friends, my point is that despite our excuses (I have plenty – trust me!), God seeks a relationship with us and the ONLY way to engage in that is to read what he has to say to us! I find myself talking…ALL the time…about what’s good, bad, what I want, don’t want…blah blah blah. What does God want from ME? What does he LIKE? What pleases him? What is HIS will for my life? I won’t EVER know if I don’t allow him to speak to me –through HIS WORD. I have so much room to grow in this area so please don’t think I am a master at this. I am not. Even seasoned Christians are not. But that’s why I wanted to share an applicable, real study that you can – that WE can – join in to see what God has to say to us.

My application is obvious this week…#SheReadsTruth.
Will you join me? I would LOVE it if you would! And I would love to know if decide too!

Have a blessed Wednesday & great rest of the week sweet friends! I LOVE this time together & I hope you were encouraged today.

Frankly my dear… read truth today!
