Breakfast Brigade {Recipe}

Happy Monday, Y’all!

I hope you had a relaxing weekend! Let’s just say mine involved a lot of couch time + Netflix!

Yesterday the Frank’s were on Breakfast duty for Sunday School. 

Realizing it was Daylight Saving’s Sunday, you can only imagine how excited I was that I had signed us up for the Breakfast Brigade! 

Of all weeks, right?

After a quick inventory of the cabinet & consultation with my Pinterest food board, I remembered a breakfast casserole I tried back at Thanksgiving & knew it was perfect! 

The best part? You put it in the crock-pot the night before & it’s ready when you wake up in the morning! Perfect.

Ingredients: 

26-30 oz. Shredded Hashbrowns

1 lb. Sausage, browned

16 oz. Monterey-Jack Shredded Cheese

12 Eggs

1 c. Milk

As with any crockpot meal I make, I start with Reynolds Crock Pot Liners. They are God-Sent Y’all!! If you loved cooking in a crock-pot before, you’ll be even more obsessed. These liners take clean-up from 20 minutes to 2. Simply remove the liner, trash it, & wipe out your pot. Done!

Next, add your hash browns, cheese, & cooked sausage to your pot. I stir it up really well so the ingredients are all mixed together.

In a separate bowl, whisk all 12 eggs + cup of milk together. 

This time I made it, I added some pepper, garlic salt, & onion powder. I didn’t really measure, but just season to your taste.

Pour your egg/milk mixture over the other ingredients. I also added a bit more pepper over the top.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours & enjoy a good night’s rest knowing you’ll have a delicious breakfast prepared when you wake up in the morning!

I meant to take an after picture, but the dish went over so well, there wasn’t any left! I even got a compliment from one of the guys that he had never eaten anything like that…Call it good ole Southern Cookin’!

In the future, I might add some onions & peppers just to spice things up a bit, but this morning I served the casserole with hot sauce & everyone loved it.

    I'm obsessed with my crock pot but I'm sad to say I never bought these liners! HELLO! Clearly I've been living under a rock! This looks delicious, dear! Sign me up for anything that has to do with breakfast food! Yum! xo
