101 in 1001

What is life?!

It’s filled with so many things…. so in the next 1001 days, I am going to fill it 101 specific things! 

I told y’all all about my very first bucket list & how this new “to do” list was the perfect way to start 2014….but I didn’t post my list…until now.

101 in 1001

Start Date: January 11, 2014
End Date: October 8th, 2016

  1. Come up with 101 things (started my list here. Completed February 3, 2014)
  2. Inspire someone to start their own 101 in 1001 journey (Valarie in March 2014)
  3. Attend a blog conference (Influence – September 2014 & Renew Retreat – October 2014)
  4. Reach 150 GFC blog followers 
  5. Meet some of my bloggy friends in real life (Too many to count – So Blessed!)
  6. Clean out our closets & donate to an organization
  7. Attend a sky zone workout class
  8. Send at least one or more encouraging notes every month
  9. Read 29 books (14 in 2014 & 15 in 2015) –  Wife After God, Stop Asking Jesus Into Your Heart, The Best Yes, Cold Tangerines
  10. Make a scrapbook for someone else.
  11. Co-Host a link-up (Completed 2/18/14 – Tuesday Tea)
  12. Host a giveaway on my blog (Also too many to count!)
  13. Travel to Mexico
  14. Drive to Canada
  15. Go wine tasting Traverse City
  16. Visit the Mountains (Anniversary Trip – May 2014 & Renew Retreat – October 2014)
  17. Coordinate a wedding
  18. Purchase someone’s order behind me at McDonald’s.
  19. Treat a friend to a spa day together
  20. Start a college saving fund for our kids
  21. Pay off our student loan debt
  22. Attend a live musical
  23. Support a missions project (Mocha Club – September 2014, Garment Collective – January 2015)
  24. Be a prayer partner
  25. Volunteer at an Alpha Gamma Delta chapter
  26. Take a meal to someone after surgery
  27. Take photos of a friend
  28. Have an anniversary photo shoot (September 2014)
  29. Switch to an iPhone ( Completed 3/1/14) YAY for birthdays!) 
  30. Blog Redesign  (completed here on February 1, 2014)
  31. Purchase Photoshop & learn to use it (October 2014, still working on the latter)
  32. Take a calligraphy class (Scheduled for Jan 2015!)
  33. Go to another hockey game
  34. Make macaroons
  35. Send flowers to a friend for no reason
  36. Learn to preserve fresh fruits & vegetables
  37. Go hunting with my husband
  38. Complete a social media free weekend
  39. Go to a couples massage with the hubby
  40. Take a cooking class
  41. Celebrate Axle’s First Birthday (Completed February 1, 2014… Details Here!)
  42. Go to NFL Game
  43. Go to a MLB Game
  44. Guest Post on someone’s blog (Wear Flowers in My Hair, Cheers Yall, Oh Simple Thoughts)
  45. Have a roomie reunion
  46. Buy an authentic antique piece of furniture (Coffee Bar – Summer 2014)
  47. Make a new tradition
  48. Spend a weekend at a bed & breakfast
  49. Attend a Wine & Canvas Class
  50. Clean-up my Facebook friends list
  51. Buy sewing/monogram machine (Gifted still counts – Christmas 2014)
  52. Participate in the Christmas Angel Tree (Operation Christmas Child 2014)
  53. Take our nephews to the zoo
  54. Decorate a cake
  55. Keep a Prayer Journal & document answered prayers
  56. Learn to coupon
  57. Send a care package
  58. Join a church in our new city (Wallen Baptist – Winter 2014)
  59. Complete another 5K….and maybe run this one…
  60. Send a devotion that has changed my heart to someone else
  61. Be a bridesmaid
  62. Buy a complete season of a television series we love
  63. Tube down the river with friends
  64. Blog my wedding
  65. Try Vlogging
  66. Host a bridal or baby shower
  67. Learn to do chalkboard art
  68. Have a family game night
  69. Create a budget for our family & stick to it!
  70. Work with youth or college students at church (Wednesday Night Leaders & China!)
  71. Find a way to incorporate some of my photography into our home
  72. Get a Bread Machine
  73. Create & maintain an editorial calendar for my blog
  74. Host a Super Bowl Party
  75. Make cookies for someone else
  76. Buy someone’s coffee behind be at Starbuck’s
  77. Style a photoshoot
  78. Take a trip with my grandmother
  79. Go to a concert (Florida Georgia Line with Nelly – July2014)
  80. Go on a mission trip (China – August 2014)
  81. Give to a homeless person
  82. Let someone else completely plan my day with absolutely NO input from me
  83. Attend the 2014 & 2015 Influence Network Conference
  84. Grow my Etsy Shop 
  85. Record my parents & grandparents telling a story
  86. Give my testimony
  87. Babysit for a friend without expecting them to return the favor
  88. Do a puzzle
  89. Become a Starbucks Gold Member (October 2014)
  90. Go to the beach
  91. Review my family history with my papaw
  92. Get my southern accent back (Officially moved back to Tennessee in January 2015)
  93. Help with the cows
  94. Get a Dyson Vacuum
  95. Make appointments (for Luke & I) at the dentist & eye doctor…yearly
  96. Blog my monthly goals (Started 2/4/14…see them all here!)
  97. Adopt another puppy
  98. Learn a new cooking technique
  99. Share scripture once a week on my blog (Started 2/5/14 with Wednesday in the Word)
  100. Save $10 for ever task I complete
  101. Make a new list & start again!

Wow! I did it! Now the hard part….making things happen!!

    Thank you for sharing! We're working on #58, too. I know I have goals, but some of them are abstract and difficult to put into a list like this. 1001 days seems like a long time, but it's really not, is it?! Maybe I should try starting with the monthly goals and see how it goes from there. 🙂
